What helps Dodge helps YOU is a project that focuses on a closed and abandoned steel casting factory in Philadelphia, and the surrounding grounds which came to be used as an illegal dump-site. My project was conceived around a simple yet powerful idea; use the raw materials from the wasted building and the refuse heaped around it to build a giant rolling pinhole camera to make large scale photographs that document the site. This project was funded by a 1991 New Forms Grant, Northeast Region, a Kodak Professional Imaging Materials Grant, and the generosity of Mid-City Camera, Berry and Homer Photo Lab and Ida Wiener Moss.
