Pyramid (detail), 1999
hairballs, toilet paper, acrylic, wood, flourescent lights; 17 x 32 x 32 inches

Pyramid consists of 20 weeks of hairballs collected from the tub after showering each morning. The shape and title reference the great tombs of Egypt. Whether hair loss stands for regeneration or aging is clearly a subjective decision, but my own interest in the process is probably not an uncommon obsession.
