This famous Yves Klein image of the artist (faking) his own suicide used a very old photographic technique to create the (seeming) chance photographic capture of a suicidal leap. Making two exposures of the scene from the same vantage point, Klein leapt into the arms of friends and students waiting below, then had the scene rephotographed with only the cyclist pedalling slowly away. The image was then created in the darkroom using the bottom half of one negative and the top half of the other.
